Cancellation Policy

At Academic Universe, we allocate time, academic resources, and specialist effort to every request once a brief is reviewed. This Cancellation Policy explains how cancellations are handled and how advance payments are treated.

By confirming an order or requesting work to begin, you agree to the terms outlined below.


Cancellation Before Work Commencement

If a cancellation request is made before any academic work has started:

  • Cancellation may be considered on a case-by-case basis

  • Any advance paid may still be retained to cover administrative time, brief review, and resource allocation

  • The final decision depends on the complexity and clarity of the brief provided

Refund of advance is not guaranteed, even if work has not formally started.


Cancellation After Work Has Started

If cancellation is requested after work has started:

  • ❌ The advance payment will not be refunded

  • ❌ Any remaining balance, if applicable, may still be payable

  • Time already spent on research, planning, drafting, or review is non-recoverable

Once academic resources are assigned, cancellation is no longer eligible for refund.


Advance Payment Policy (Important)

  • Advance payment may be required before work begins

  • Whether advance is taken or not is decided after reviewing the brief

  • In most cases, advance payment is required and non-refundable

  • Advance payments cover time, expertise, and initial academic preparation

Advance payments are considered a commitment fee.


Non-Cancellable Situations

Cancellations will not be accepted in the following cases:

  • Work has been delivered (partial or complete)

  • Similarity, AI review, or quality checks have been completed

  • Revision or replacement work has already been offered

  • Delays caused by incomplete or incorrect information from the student


No Grade-Based or Outcome-Based Cancellations

Cancellations are not accepted based on:

  • Grades or marks received

  • Personal expectations

  • Change of mind after delivery

  • Institutional decisions beyond our control

Academic support outcomes depend on multiple factors outside our scope.


Final Decision Authority

All cancellation requests are:

  • Reviewed internally

  • Assessed against work progress and original brief

  • Decided at the sole discretion of Academic Universe

Our decision on cancellation and advance retention is final.
